    Face To face, still alive.
Feeding time for my snake tonight
I don't know why but she chased the mouse in the tank, came face to face with it
    And did NOTHING.
Now.. I was wondering if this could be because the mouse is a male and the last ones were females (they got eaten in less than 2 minutes)?
No worries, got the mouse out and in a nice little stuffed box with food :)
    I'll try again tomorrow..

Sometime my girl will wait and when the mouse gets right in her face is when she strikes. Not every time but a lot of the times that's how it goes. Don't know why, just does it. You didn't have to remove the mouse. Unless it starts biting or trying to hurt your snake, you can leave it in just supervise the entire time.

If you haven't got any place else to be, just sit and watch. If you can't watch the whole time, pull the mouse and try later.

Yeah usually I wait but this time she also turned away once the "facing" was over.
And it's 2am now, so I had to take it out to be able to go to sleep [emoji28]
It's not the first time she just stares at it though, but since she was in a striking position but didn't do anything, I was wondering..

Mine do this sometimes. Ive noticed that if they look kind of unexciting about feeding time, a bold mouse or rat will make them back off. it's weird and I don't understand it, but if the snake turns away I think it's a good time to pull out the feeder; none of mine have regained interest after they lost it.

See I have been dealing with this too for two weeks since my BP girl shed. She'll come out, tongue flicks, she even followed the mouse around, but because it walked right up to her initially she was scared ish of it almost.... And now I am living with two live mice......

    Haha I know that feeling
I had to live with 2 mice for a month.. And the day I decided to give them back to the shop, she started to eat again.

Anyways, do you guys think I should try again tonight or wait next week?
It's weird how this time she seems to be very interested but doesn't attack
Last time she didn't eat for a month she didn't even move for a mouse

I would try again next week. You don't want to stress her out to much by offering food to often.

    Thanks for the advice
    I fed her yesterday :D
I now think she wants me to feed the mouse a few days to make it more fat and juicy actually.. I'll see next week if she eats it immediately from the store or not

    Another question..
Are your BP's also hiding like 24/7?
I knew pythons are active at night but mine seems to be hiding all the time. Even when I wake up at night she still is hiding..
