    Pooping too much?
I know a ball python can hold it for months at a time and then release one big dump, but hat about pooping every couple days? My hatchling male has pooped a few times each week since I've began feeding. They are small turds, and are always under the aspen bedding on the bottom of the tub. They are not able to be poked out because they are crusted and dried to the bottom and it requires a full cleaning, so basically should I be cleaning the tub this often, or will this stress the snake? He doesn't seem to be stressed.

Should I switch to paper towels?

Well the good news is that the movements are solid. So dehydration is not a big concern.
The other good thing is that things are MOVING.

Being a hatchling, his body is not perfect yet and may still be getting dialed in, whether it is intestinal smooth muscle tone or core body musculoskeletal tone.

Do what you are doing and keep an eye on him and his weight. If his BMs don't straighten out at a point were you are comfortable, take him to the vet.
