Snake escape

I made a stupid mistake and didnt close the snake's enclosure. Need some advice on finding her.

Look close by. Mine never made it too far from their tanks when they escaped. Think like a snake... dark, warm, small spaces. Somewhere they'd feel safe.

This may give you an idea of their "breaking and entering " to go along with their escaping.

This is where my Ball always retreats to after she is tired of playing in her room.
(The bottom of the wardrobe is blocked off, I got tired of having to move it to get her out)

There is only about a 1 inch gap between the wall and armoire. Once she squeezes gets through that gap there is a huge passage in the back going into the armoire. You would never believe that she could get that fat body through there. But she does it all the time.
Inside there are books and junk set up that just happen to form a good hide for her.
During the summer, the door to her room is closed and the A/C vent is closed as well. So I will let her spend the night in her new hide since that room is in the high 80's.

Overnight if you put flour down on the floors you can see where/if she's been moving. Only really works on hardwood floors though.
With winter temps she may be attracted to areas near vents or under appliances like a refrigerator. Especially if you have vents near the floors I would check near those.

If it's on a stand or a dresser or in a rack, look under that. Box spring of bed. Behind Washing machine/dryer.

You may want to put a f/t prey item out for it. You can also check along the moulding of the wall at night.
Maybe consider making a funnel trap it it goes missing for a while. Keep in mind that people lose their snakes for months at a time and then one day they just show up again.
