    Water?
Right now my little piglet (snakes name) has access to fresh spring water all the time, in a regular bowl.. we are looking into either a exo terra waterfall or exo terra water well.... any experience with either and advice would be great!!

First off, I have no experience with either.

I'm not quite sure what the water well is.

The waterfall sounds cool and looks cool. However keep in mind a few things.
Members report, myself included, that our snakes sometime poop in the water.

Also they sometimes soak in the water, or soak and spin in the water to assist with shedding.

These behaviors may cause more messes than the cool factor is worth. I don't know.

    Just something to think about.

I just saw a post on this in the last week I think. The general line of thought was the waterfall would more than likely cause excess splashing (whether they meant by itself or if the snake played in it I don't know). Another point was cleaning it, which makes sense. Anything with water running through it that's not in a "sterile" environment will need to be cleaned regularly. This means taking it apart and cleaning the hidden slime gunk that's stuck in tubes or wherever. I think it sounds cool, but maybe isn't the best idea cleanliness wise. We had a "pool" for our snake (11x11x6) portioned off in his tank. It sucked to try and drain it and keep algae and what not from growing.

What's the reason you want a waterfall/new water dish?

Gotcha, I would look into something easy to clean. Mainly because of how fast bacteria grows.

Don't get the exo terra waterfall. I had one, and putting it together was a chore in itself because the pieces did NOT fit together correctly! Part of the pump ended up splitting in a few days because of this. Very poorly manufactured. Also, PITA to clean especially if your snake has a dry shed; you get little pieces of snakeskin stuck all over on the outside and inside.

By outgrown do you mean that he won't fit his body into it anymore? If so, then you need to know that this isn't needed. Just provide them with a water bowl for drinking like you already seem to be doing and he'll be fine.

Yeah when I brought him home he fit in it now he doesn't, I've always heard they need to be able to soak in the bowl

I can't agree more! I too had one that did not go together properly and got dirty fast. And what a lame excuse for a waterfall! It's a little stream, if that.
