eyes are weird, I need advise/help
Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my snakes eyes, I just got him and they look messed up. The guy that I bought him from didnt even have a heat lamp so I don't think he was taken care of well. Any advice is appreciated.http://ball-pythons.net/forums/webki...eda18/imagepng

He might be going into shed. Their eyes get gray and opaque when in shed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but From what I've read their eyes only stay like that for a day or so, this has been like it since I got him 3 days ago

Looks like a stuck eyecap. Soak him/her for a bit in a tub of lukewarm water, and then run a damp q-tip over it. This should help the snake slough it off.

Matt....take it from a newbie that had a terrible shed when we first got our BP. Don't try and do the eye caps yourself. I considered it, researched, and asked questions. Then decided that jacking around with our snakes eyes with zero experience was a terrible idea. Our new to us bp had a terrible shed....we read and followed the sticky about bad shed, no problem, got our husbandy dialed in, and the next shed was spot on and the eye caps took care of themselves.
If you are going to soak we used a plastic container with lots of ventilation. I used room temp....so about 75 or so water....about an inch deep with some paper towels to soak up water and add something to offer resistance when the snake moved about. I put the snake and the "soaking tub" in the enclosure to keep the temp up, stood close by, and simply gave it some time. After about an hour I took her out and let her slide on her own through a damp towel. That helped her quite a bit.
Best of luck with your bp.
