Working on bigger tank and want some opinions
So im working on a plan for a nice display terrarium for my ball python i got the exo terra 36x18x18 and i was wondering if a waterfall would work. ive been looking at a lot of picture of other tanks and none of them have had anything i want to add the water fall to help with humidity and the overall look of the tank. is it a bad idea to have a small little pond that would act like a water dish, but have a waterfall coming into it?

Waterfalls are notorious for harboring bacteria, I'd personally stay away from them unless you clean them every day and replace filters often. Even then it is relatively risky. I have the same tank, I'll post some picks of what I did with it, might be helpful.

This is the best shot of the overall tank. It is an old pic though. I've since added a cork cave in the back right. I really need to take some new pics lol

Not a bad idea, but they are hard to clean. If you really want some inspiration, look up "dart frog terrarium." Im in the same boat as you are, trying to come up with a nice design for my 36x18x18.

Yup, it will for sure be a pretty addition to any tank. Just keep in mind how you will clean it.

Any concern that the constant noise would bother your snake?
