    Help Josh pick
Alright guys, this is my 10 year old son Josh's female spinner. He picked her out as a show a couple years ago and now she is close to breeding size/age. She is not het for anything, but if he chooses a male with recessives he will get to pick hold back and will have plenty of options for next generation pairings. It's totally his decision what male we use. These are his options: A. Lesser Pied B. VPI Snow C. Albino Black Pastel D. Super Pastel Mojave. Please comment below with which one he should choose and why.

I'm a big fan of Lemon Blasts, Bumble Bee's and Bumble Bee Mojaves.
So I would vote for breeding with the Super Pastel Mojave

If he's in it for the long run I like the black pastel albino pairing

I would go with the super pastel mojave fot the following reasons.

the lesser pied is an whole white snake, spider tends to do almost the same with piebalds and me personally like piebalds with a bit more pattern :)
the VPI snow is an albino combo and i like my albino's to be high contrast when you add spider or pinstripe to the albino there is only a small amount of white between the yellows.
i love Black Pastel Albino's for their high contrast but as said above the spider and pinstripe will eliminate that.

That leave the Super Pastel Mojave wich I would love to have in my collection :)

and the fun thing by using the Super Pastel Mojave is that you will have no normals and there is like a ton of possible outcomes when the eggs hatch, so it will be a real surprise what you get :)

I am going to have to go with the Lesser Pied. You get the same number of possible different snakes as you would with the Super Pastel Mojave (1/8), but the holdbacks to breed later would make it way more worth it imo.:2cent:

VPI Snow all the way. 100% DH combos :gj:

    What YOU like.

Depends on your budget and also depends on whether you want instant gratification with your first clutch or want to work in long term project that may not pay off before another 3 years.

I like long term projects myself however the only long term I would go for with a spinner would be Hypo combo, I am not a fan of snow or albino and what they do to pin, spider or spinner.

Not what I like, it's up to my son. He gets to pick but wanted input on what people would say. I hope he picks one of the ones with recessives as that would be a better genetics lesson.

We already have these 4 males, so budget doesn't really play into it.

Haha, trust me, he has been very busy this past year and will be for the foreseeable future.
