Remember me? Probably not. I posted a grand total of ONE time last year!
I did finally get my ball. It was a little later than I was hoping to, but that just gave me more time to prepare.
I went to the OK Reptile Expo (the one in Broken Arrow, for you locals) and spied me a cutie!
Hatched 6/28/14 and came home with me on 12/7/14, here is my sweet snake booper:

And there he is. I know he can't love me back, but that's okay. I think I have enough love for the both of us.

You might be surprised. Some of my bp's are shy and others come out of their hides whenever I come into my snake room and will beg to be let out and play (I swear). My Banana will crawl all over me if I lay in bed with him. He'll rarely get more than a few feet away. They definitely have distinguishable personalities.

Wirt is still pretty shy, but I think it's because he's still young. When I'm in the room, but his tub is still closed, he does a tiny periscope out of whichever hide he's in and watches.

I think all snakes are adorable as babies, of course, but I think you really get to enjoy them more when they're older. We got a creamsicle corn from a reptile rescue near us, I'm guessing from length and weight it's about a year old (maybe closer to two) and it is very "friendly". (We call that snake Clementine and we're not sure on the sex, but it doesn't really matter because we're not going to breed it.)
