Baby bp not eating

I received a pair of baby ball pythons about a month ago from lllreptile. After a week one of them took a dead small mouse but the other one would never eat and would barely move around. It dies the other day. Lllreptile replaced it for me even thoigh it was way past their 3 day warranty.

The snake that did eat has not ate since. I have been told they can go for a month without eating again. Should I worry? He dont stick his toung out either when I hold him but he is very active and curious always climbing around and trying to escape. Tank temp on basking area is 90-100 and cold side is 70-74

If the snake is constantly moving around all the time he's likely uncomfortable and won't want to eat because of it. Your basking temp is too high and the cold side too cold. 80 for cold then up to 90 on hot.

What kind of setup do you have going? One hide? How big? How much clutter in it?

First your snakes temperatures are too high and too low. You hot side you want it to be around 85-90F. Above 90F and you risk cooking your snake. The cool side should be around 75-80F. Any lower and the snake will freeze.

Second, stop holding your snake. That is very important. You should not hold your snake until it has eaten at least twice for you.

Just took temp reading again hot side is 90-95 cool side 75. 20 gallon tank with a log hide on hot side water bowl on cool side

Also by moving alot I meant when held. When in tank it stays under log hide on hot side and moves occasionally to cool side. Using 100 watt bulb with a screen enclosure

I'd recommend finding a better hide and getting 2 of them (one for hot side one for cool side). Those half logs are fine if the snake is kept in a dark tub or if the tank is cluttered enough otherwise they don't provide the Bp with a feeling of security. You can even make your own out of plastic bowls with a hole cut into it

10 gallon tank is probably too big for a small snake. Clutter it up with hides and crumbled newspaper. Try small prey items for hatchlings. You may get a better feeding response.
