This must be your other thread. You should put your heating source on one end of the cage, so your snake can have a proper temp gradient and can go to wherever it needs to regulate it. If the heat source is in the center of the enclosure, the snake only has either side of the source to cool down, and that may not offer enough of a temp drop anywhere in the enclosure.

in the first post, he shows his plastic tub setup. if you scroll down a bit, he shows how to keep humidity in with a mesh top. i did it last week and it works really well. and it is cheap, you just need foil and duct tape.
