Terrarium Background
Hey all,
Anyone who uses a background, for visually pleasing purposes, can suggest one to me? I am having such trouble finding one! My BP terrarium back is 18x36 inches. The local pet store doesn't sell anything that big and I can't find one online, any suggestions?
Ps: Im Canadian so it really limits my online search haha

Re: Terrarium Background
I have the same size tank, a large/wide exoterra, came with a painted Styrofoam background that looks fine despite some foam grains if you look close, and it can get scuffed easy, OK for snakes, not so good for Lizards or critters with claws. I've seen people hot glue pieces of cork bark or tiles for a more natural look, painted resin backgrounds can look awesome, but are pricey, just google "3D terrarium background" and there are a lot that come up. This is my setup, beats a simple poster behind the tank, helps insulate, good for attatching decorations and running thermostat/temp probes through, and my snake likes to climb on it.http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/...pslby71wji.jpg

Re: Terrarium Background
Thats great! I saw these and would prefer them over the paper background, but I cannot find them! Anyone in Canada found them or somewhere with cheap shipping?

You can make one very easily with a sheet of insulation foam from your local hardware store. Just carve it up a little, add some spray paint and seal it up. It may even be cheaper too.

I assumed spray paint wouldn't be safe?
