Question about size of BP and tank

Ok, I've never had a snake before, we're moving into our new house sometime late next month or in early March. I want to get a BP who will live in the office area, I'm planning to get a T8 for it to live in. But never having had one, I have some questions. So here it goes:

I would really like to get one from the start, with the divider to keep the tank smaller for comfort, but at what point do you decide to open up to full size of the T8?

And if we ended up getting more than one snake would it be safe to keep one on each side of the divider, and when they grow just transition one to a second tank?

T8s are great. One half is enough room for an adult bp, so you don't have to remove the divider at all if you dont want to.

You never mentioned the size of the bp in question.

I would like to start off with a younger one if possible. But it depends on what we can find around us, I don't know anything about shipping animals, and quite frankly the idea makes me nervous. So it really depends on availability, but given the chance I'd take a younger.

Really? Everything I've read says an adult should use the space of a full T8.
