making my bp an enclosure. need advice
So I am making my ball python a new enclosure. My dad and I have an idea of what we are going to do. We are making it out of an old book case. It's about 32"L x 11"D x 12"T. It's a wooden book case so we are going to put some smoother hard board in it. We are going to put a glass hinged door with the hinge at the bottom. The only we haven't figured out is what to use to cover up the heat pad that will transfer the heat well. Any suggestions?

If you're doing a fully enclosed terrarium, I'd recommend heating it with a RHP (radiant heat panel). You really don't need the heat pad at all. Additionally you should check out the DIY part of the forum and maybe you'll find your answer there if you don't go the RHP route.

    This.

In my opinion RHP is the best way to go for anything that isn't a glass tank or tub.

I think I'm just gonna cover the heat mat with foil tape and put the probe for the thermostat on it. If I keep it set at 92 it shouldn't burn right?

I was just gonna put hardboard on it and then cover the seams with aquarium acrylic

That sound like it will work out good. Hope we can see as it comes together!
