Help with setup or new cage
My male ball outgrew his 20 gallon . I bought the "national geographic" 36x18x18 cage. so far I like it. I have the large zoo med UTH on one end with a thermostat but I need something for ambient air temp. What size ceramic heat emitter will work for this size of a cage? I should probably also get the 10 inch done correct? Right now I am using the came CHE I did with the 20 gal but it's not pumping out enough heat for this size cage

I use a 100 watt ceramic heat element for one side of Ginger's tank, and a 60 watt red heat bulb on the other. She's now in a 55 gallon tank, and I use Dixie cups full of wet spaghum moss to help with her humidity. Your u can also put a wet washcloth or small towel on the top of the cage.

I have the 40g tanks as well. I use a 75w zoo med day view on a 10" dome with a dimmer for ambient. Personally, not a fan of ceramic heat emitters...
