    Tropic Aire Humidifier Issues
    Hello all,

I found this Tropic Aire Humidifier and heard some good things about it and decided to give it a go as I have issues keeping humidity.

    http://www.amazon.com/Imagine-Gold-T...ire+humidifier

I have a 30 gallon glass aquarium, which I sealed in using aluminium foil on the open top, therefore there is very little area for air to escape, except where the heat lamp is. I attached the tropic aire to a 40 gallon air pump and put the line in the terrarium and it has been 2 days and the humidity has actually dropped and not increased...

Anyone else use this system and have had luck with it? Any tips or hints to getting it to work well?

    Thanks!

It's kind of a pain , humidity and glass tanks . I fixed mine by sealing most the top with aluminium foil to keep heat in then cling wrap to seal humidity . I have an exo Tera tank so there's holes on the front for ventilation which makes it even harder to keep humidity in. But this helped , a long side Eco earth substrate and sphagnum moss in the enclosure. This combination worked best for me I must say .

At at first I tried humidifiers in my room but it actually decreased humidity in the enclosure strangely .

But it I would try a timed fogger instead, those will increase humidity good , just a bit pricy.

    Hmm, thanks for the advice!

I did recently cover everything with aluminum foil and it is starting to make a difference, should I also add plastic wrap or will aluminium foil successfully hold moisture just as well?

ugh just realized I taped the aluminum foil on the inside of the lid as opposed to the outside and tap inside the terrarium is a no no arrr, Although i don't think she would get to it on the roof, I will still change it.

I think foggers are so neat! But read they are not the best for ball pythons, besides most of them are junk and do not work well. I have read great things about the King Mist systems, but they are rather pricey.
