How do you tell if your BPs a male or female
I've got a 2 week old BP and I was wondering how to tell if it's a boy or a girl. I also want to know what is parentage. I've heard it been mentioned a lot in other medical threads but I don't know about it.:confusd:

Whoops! LOL meant to say "What's Husbandry"
Re: How do you tell if your BPs a male or female
Husbandry is - in so many words - the conditions in which you keep your snake. "Proper husbandry" is keeping your pet in a healthy, safe, and correct environment. For ball pythons this is 90 degree hot spot, 80 degree ambient temps, 50-60% humidity (higher during shed), two tight-fitting hides, correct prey, and all the other things listed in the caresheet.
Hope that helps!

(I'm just looking for any answers to these questions.):salute:
As with many things, the answer to these questions is - it depends. What is the temperature of the room you keep your snakes in (think highs and lows for the entire year)? What about the humidity level where you live? Yes - adding moss to the inside of a hide (creating a "humid hide") is something that can be effective.
You're starting to think along the right lines here. Keep up this thought process and your snake(s) should be well cared for.

It depends. In most cases, unless you keep your room constantly heated to ~75, a UTH will not be enough to keep your ambient tank temperatures at 80deg. UTHs do not heat the air, just the surface. Most people with aquarium tanks use a UTH and a heat lamp. You could also skip the lamp and use a space heater to heat your room. To keep your humidity up, cover the mesh top of the tank with aluminum foil. I highly recommend you follow this tutorial. It has everything you need to create a great home for your snake!
BTW, if you get a UTH you'll need a thermostat to regulate it.
What are you using to heat your cage now and how are you measuring your temperatures? We might be able to give you more specific answers if you tell us all about your current set-up.
