Bathroom habits

So ever since I started using moss to help with the humidity a couple months ago (which works amazingly thank god) Lilith has been going to the bathroom in it...Every single time. I physically watched her do it, by accident kind of, the other night. The moss sits outside of her hide and literally every time whether it's urates or actual poop, she goes in it. Makes it easy to clean I guess but does anyone else have snakes that have a spot to do their busines? I didn't think that was a thing and really I would not have believed it until I saw it.

My BRB's always go in their humid hides. I also have a boa who insists on using her water bowl as a toilet.

Mine has fake vines that she loves to dirty up. I'm pretty sure this is just because she knows they're the toughest thing in her enclosure to clean.

Mine likes to bury it in the aspen like a cat. Makes it a pain to find as I first open the door like I do every day to say "morning". Then I get a whiff of a turd and I have to try and find where the divit is in the aspen and go "diving". I've been lucky a couple times and caught her with her tail pointing up as she was pooping and I knew exactly where she was burying it but most of the time its hunt by feel :O

i use small sanwich bags. i just turn them inside out, put my hand in it, pick up the poop, then flip it and zip it. quick and easy.

Some of mine do this too, thought it was kind of funny. For spot cleanings I have a bag of nitrile (powerless) gloves and I buy the rolls of diaper bags from babies r us to toss everything (gloves, substrate and all) into.

Huh. I should try that with a lawn and leaf bag when I clean my retic enclosure.

Haha these stories are pretty funny. Never would have guessed snakes had preferences for where they did their business
