Should I move my year old BP to her T-10 enclosure?
Hi all!
So, my female is about 2 feet long and weighs about 630 grams. She is in a glass tank that is 20 gallons. The T-10 is 48x25x15. I think this is too big for her, but I do have plenty of hiding spaces. I also plan on sectioning off part of the enclosure with wood pieces and draping fake plants over them so the space does not seem too vast for her.
Currently, she just shed and pooped but refused three meals. I offered her a rat once every 6 days. Not too sure if she will eat when I put her in a new environment. On the other hand, she might go right for the rat because she feels like the new environment is a good feeding opportunity.
I really want to put her in this enclosure because the husbandry is spot-on! 90 F on the hot side and 80 F on the cool side. The humidity fluctuates between 55-62 %. The enclosure she is in now has an ambient temperature of 77 F and a UTH that gets to 88 F-90 F. The humidity greatly fluctuates from 30%-60% after I mist it.
Should I wait till she eats to put her in the T-10? Should I wait until she gets a bit bigger?
Please, let me know your thoughts.
Cheers!

I don't want her to get too stressed in a big environment. Ball Pythons do not like open spaces. Like I said, she does have plenty of hiding places so maybe I am being too protective and nervous for her :tears:

If you feel like the enclosure is too big, just add more decor foliage. Add places that the snake can go unseen, make her feel as secure as you possibly can.
Once you've put her in there and added more items etc.. Leave her be for 1/2 weeks.. Then try feeding her she how she is with it all.

Thank you all for the advice. I was anxious about getting her in the new home. Just put her in and surprisingly, she does not seem too small for the enclosure! I'm sure she is happier with perfect husbandry anyways.
