    Viv versus RUB
    I have a 5 month ball python who was in a 9litre RUB I have moved her into a vivarium now so she can have more space peoples opinions please which is best.

    I personally like storage tubs in a rack system. It takes up less room, is easier to heat and easier to clean.

    It's really the easiest way when you have many animals to care for.

    I only have the one snake and won't be getting anymore as she is a part of my family so thought if I created a natural looking home as best I could would be better for her in the viv than just a plastic box. Any advice in overcoming my nerves when picking her up would be appreciated it's just when she looking at me where is best place to pick her up from.

    As long as it's needs are met, the snake won't give a darn, so do what you want within those guidelines. There is no wrong way to house them if it meets their needs. As far as picking them up, I try to get them somewhere about the midpoint of the body, and I always approach from an angle that puts me behind the head. Well, at least my hand and arm.
