UTH under light?

I ordered an AP T8 with fluorescent bulbs, and I plan on installing flexwatt. My question is, should the flexwatt be on the side where the lightbulb is, or the side opposite? It's my understanding that the fluorescents will have a bit of heat emitting from it, would it make a drastic difference?

Did you order it with the 11" Flexwatt option? With/without the divider?

Depends how much you are trying to heat the air. A few degrees I would imagine would work but if the room is low 70s, I wouldn't want to bet on just the heat from an 18 inch fluorescent tube to heat the air 10f+. As for which side, it shouldn't matter. I have my light fixture in the middle of my 48x23x14 Pro-Line cage but I use a 65 watt RHP exclusively as the heat source. I don't use flexwatt as I have no problem heating the cage with the RHP alone.

I am guessing that you will only turn on the flourescent light when
you are looking at your snake, or doing something in the cage. So I would not count on the fluorescent
as a heat source.

I did not order it with the flexwatt, since it's cheaper to buy elsewhere. And I did buy it with the divider

If you're planning on using the divider, then generally you run the Flexwatt front to back down the middle so it heats the inside 1/4 of each side.
