First Attempt, Good Lock?
This is my first time trying to breed. I paired up my 700g Pastel Yellowbelly Male with my 1650g Normal Female. I'm sure they have been locking up. I've seen at least 5 good locks in the past 3 days. I'm following the 3 day on and 3 day off schedule, both of them are still eating so all is well. Out of all the locks I witnessed, this is the only picture that I could get. What do you think?

A bit hard to see. Can't count it unless you see them lock up. I would consider a good lock 8+ hours. Following the three day on off rule, when you see them lock, you separate for three days right after they unlock, not leave him in for the remaining time. Also when pairing one male and one female, one good lock a month is enough, I personally do 2 but that's just extra insurance. Good luck!
Re: First Attempt, Good Lock?
Your welcome, and yes most people do attempt to feed after they lock. Some males won't eat though because of interest in other things.
