    tips on breeding in january
I've had my pair of ball pythons together for a week but haven't seen them lock once, the boy is going in to shed could this have an effect? should I remove the hide? they have been non lower temp than normal low 80's should I bring this back up to high 80's? any other advice would be grateful

You have a hide in with paired snakes?
You might never see a lock BTW

Yes remove the hide. They could be locking and you will never see it with the hide in place.

Sometime males wont breed when going into a shed cycle! On the flip side if you have a female that goes into shed she tends to give it up easier! Just a observation of mine
