I was searching the ever-valuable Net for pics of blood pythons, and came across this. Seems that blood pythons can be bred with ball pythons.
I am not sure how I feel about this, since giving it some thought. Blood pythons are from Sumatra and Borneo, which are both islands. So it's doubtful that the two species would ever meet in nature. It isn't natural for the two to breed, but apparently it can happen. I guess it's like breeding a horse and a donkey to produce a mule.
What do you guys/gals think of this? I am not really sure of my opinion on it; I think that it is surely unnatural; but then again, our keeping herps as pets is pretty unnatural too if you think about it.
    Here's a link with pics of a blood/ball cross.

Interesting. I like the pattern, but I wonder..well I wonder a lot about these snakes. Most of them seem to have more of the blood head structure while one that has more of a bp head structure. I wonder how big they will end up getting and if the bp head one will be smaller overall, or if it will have a "harder" time eating later.

I don't think I'd want one though, I'd be afraid of it having all sorts of odd problems due to the cross.

Nice looking abominations I have to admit - though not at all a fan or one to condone these crosses in light of the huge geographical isolation between them.

I've seen them in person...they're pretty cool but I can't help wondering why someone would want to screw up a perfectly good blood, when the end result isn't a drop-dead wow snake.

I do like the way they look, but it seems kind of strange..

yeah something about them is just unsettling to me. they look kinda nice i guess, except that that head does not belong on that snake. i personally just don't really like the whole crossing and mix matching of different animals thing to begin with though.
