    Feeding Question
I have had a red tail for 2 months now, he has been feeding on rat pinkies, he is 120 grams now, I feel like I am probably feeding him the wrong prey type now, what type of prey should he be at now? Can I feed two pinkies a week or just try and get a hold of rat pups or something.

    Thanks.

I think he can do with a rat fuzzie.

    I second that. Try fuzzies.

I'd go with a rat pup, even a fuzzie is too small. Don't buy too many, as your Boa will quickly outgrow that sized prey. The first few months they grow very quick!

I would try the rat pups as well.

Picked up some rat pups today and he struck at it faster than ive ever seen him strike. The second I lowered it into his cage he struck. I bought six pups so hopefully he will outgrow them by the time im out of them

just make sure you are feeding a meal that leaves barely a visible lump after eating. you dont want to feed to large of a meal or to often. boas should be slow grown for maximum health benefits. they have a slow metabolism.
