    Pastel?
today, i purchased a ball python. I had chosen the one that was on display (it was clearly a pastel, and thats what i wanted) but when the man took it out of the enclosure, he realized it was very snappy and had a bad attitude. so he said "let me bring you a nicer one from the back" and comes back with this

he told me its a pastel, as well, but its not bright and vibrant like the other one. is it still a pastel? or a different morph?

    Thank you!

Whatever it is I'd be happy with it to be fair . It's a stunner .

    It's still a Pastel.

Which one you choose is, of course, up to you. Personally, if the other one is nicer looking to you, then I would go with that one. Behavior changes quite a bit with the proper set-up. Also, young ones tend to me more defensive until they realize that not everything is trying to eat them.

    thank you so much!
and i did find this one to be so much prettier than the one i had originally chosen! the patterns are much more saturated on this one!
i just wanted to make sure it was still the same morph! (:

it s a pastel and as said above young balls are a bit defensive and tend to bite what ever comes near.

My daughter's pastel has never been defensive or tried striking at her or any one of us fwiw (we got him mid nov and was told he was 12 or 10 weeks old).

Marshall is basically everything you could ask for in a ball python. He eats good, he's pretty, and he's so relaxed around humans, he will even tolerate me touching his head! Not saying he likes it, but he will tolerate it, unlike the other snake at the store I got him from. Not trying to brag, but he's something to brag about! :p

He's a keeper for sure .... I was taken by his nice clean looking pattern , he's one if 'the' nicest I've seen around ( all Morphs ).
