post mite treatment help and advice

Hi all,
I have a CB14 royal (had her since sept, no issues at all and she feeds well) and noticed on Sunday (10pm) that she had mites, I bathed her in warm water and removed all visible mites. I was on the doorstep of my supplier when they opened yesterday morning an they sold me beaphar spray to treat the snake and adarp spray for the faunarium. I followed the instructions to the letter and there are no visible mites now. The scales on her underbelly seem very dry now and she is very lethargic whilst in her tank but she does perk up when I take her out. She fed perfectly last Wednesday so is due to feed tomorrow. She's my first snake and there is so much conflicting advice out there I'm terrified we're going to lose her, what can I do to help her?

Update: I've taken her out of the faunarium and put her in a clean rub on newspaper after reading some scare stories about the Ardap spray I was recommended, she seems to have perked up a little but she now seems to be shedding (brought about by the treatment?)

Sounds like use might have poisoned her.
Clean everything with soap and water and wipe her down with a wet towel.
Hope for the best for you.

Don't know how flea spray and bedbug are going to affect her.

Thanks for your response, it wasn't what I wanted to read but it was what I already suspected! I've just wiped her down with a wet towel as you suggested so fingers crossed!

The active ingredient in the beaphar is ivermectin, which is supposedly ok in very small doses but lethal to reptiles in higher doses. I wouldn't use it on her any more, and I never would spray it on the snake, but instead spray it on a paper towel and then wipe the snake with it, to keep it out of the eyes, mouth, heat pits, etc.

The ardap should be used similar to PAM or NIX/RID solution used here in the US; it is never applied directly to the snake or its water dish, just the habitat and hides, and allowed to thoroughly dry before the snake comes into contact with it.

If your snake is ok and just lethargic because it's going into shed, I would just re-treat the enclosure and hides with ardap every two weeks for the next two months, and soak it every few days to drown the mites on it.

Thank you for your help, Baby took a feed last night and has completed a full shed over night (3 pieces) She seem much more like her self this morning, so fingers crossed we're over the worst of it!
