Possible breeding in the future. Ideas?

So I'm thinking maybe down the road a couple of years to maybe dabble in breeding. Now I got a visual pied girl. I was looking at maybe trying to make albino pieds. So from what I've read, I would need to get a male albino, breed him to my pied girl and then hold back 1 male and all the females and breed them together to make DH, albino het pied, pied het albino and the slim chance of albino pied. Am I correct in this? Also would I have a chance at visual pieds if I bought a male albino het pied and breed it to my visual pied female as breeding a male albino to female pied wont give me any visuals, just 100% DH which I then would need to raise those up and breed them together for chances at the visuals.

You're correct in everything you're saying. I'd say shoot for the albino het pied male from the beginning. This way you have the chance of visual pied het Albino females being born. You still have to wait a few years to grow those but it'll save you some time in the long run when you don't have to shoot for the very slim double het to double het odds.

Since you still have time with you female I would go with Albino het pied as well, they are not that expensive anymore and it will seriously increase your odds down the line.

Alright. Thanks all. It will mostly just be a fun project over being a "job". I love my pied girl and I really like the albinos too so figured I'd get the "pets" I want and then later if I breed them, then I can have the fun of seeing what I get visually over just knowing I'm only going to get normal looking ones. Also like the look of clowns as well so maybe later down the road, i'll pick up a clown girl too :D
