Bumblebee or Killer Bee?

I recently bought a ball python from reptilesbymack. I ordered a Bumblebee but I think this is actually a Killer Bee. Is there anyway I can find out for sure? Is there anyone here who can tell by looking? He doesn't have the bright yellow back of a Bumble bee... From pics I've seen I think this is a Killer Bee. Any help? baby pastels start out looking a lot brighter and will get darker with age. This one does look particularily bright and the head is escpecially light but it also looks quite young, I guess it's possible it could be a killer bee but only time will tell. Nice looking snake in any case.

I see a bee, not a killer. Bumblebees can be very light and have reduced head patterns, but with killers the black usually isnt at deep.
Pic is of a hatchling bee I produced a few years back. Just a bee, but he was almost black and white.

I guess he's what I asked for then. For a moment there I had hoped they slipped up and sent me a much better snake. Still, from what I've read I can breed him with my Lemon Blast and get Killer... maybe. Time will tell. Thanks!

Bumblebee 100% Nice either way

Looks like a bumblebee, they still are one of my favourite morph combinations.

Odd timing that the yellow on his back has started to pop a bit more since I posted this. Yeah, he's a Bumblebee. On my way home from work to feed them now. I just got them some jumbo mopani wood to keep them busy so the won't have to bask on the thermometer like that.

Just a heads-up for you on that thermometer. I'd get rid of it completely and pick up an infrared hand-held one for yourself (ZooMed makes one you can find at most pet stores). The second that stick-on one falls off from him messing with it you have a very dangerous situation on your hands with the exposed sticky side.

Hmm... thanks. I'll look into that. Haven't notice either of my snakes into those thermometers lately.

My Lemon Blast won't eat... going into 2 months since she first came home and still won't eat. I just used the advice from a local shop owner to her her finish a bad shed. Bath and warm towel to get her eyes clear. Maybe leave her alone for a week and try feeding her.

My Bumblebee eats great. 2 small mice every 4 days. He was a gentle snake until today. I was in his terrarium looking for waste and he struck at me several times. I don't feed him in the there so I don't know why he's so pisses. He ate 3 days ago, and I can still feel he hasn't finished digesting the last mice. Been cold the last week, can't keep the house above 70, so maybe he's cranky because of the cold?

Add some fake plants or crumpled paper in with the lemon blast. I'd also suggest some tight fitting cave like hides. She is probably just stressed from being in a large enclosure.

Also I doubt there is any link between you feeding in a separate enclosure and the snake striking at you. Babies can be a little nippy so that's not unusual
