Autoclavable Diet & Irradiated Diet

Went to pick up some Mazuri 6F at my feed store and they had a pallet with some free diet on it. Apparently due to UF's strict procedures if the diet has been in the store more than 2 months they won't take it and this stuff was just passed that deadline. Since they were going to chunk it anyway I grabbed a few bags. What I found out, autoclavable shouldn't be used until after autoclaving so that one is no good for me. The irradiated seems ok to use though. Thoughts, suggestions? Anybody used these diets before?
