    Normal males?
So today I discovered that my Kirby is a boy, which I had suspected for a while now. I had gone through this with my other normal, who I rescued from a friends brother, and now I have 2 normal boys. I don't think they fit into my current breeding plans, and while I'm sure my other two boys won't mind being my only breeders right now, I'm wondering what you would breed a normal male to? I suppose Chase's genetics are unknown, and maybe one day he can make an attempt at my het albino girl or maybe even my poss het hypo, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'll certainly be keeping them as pets, since they're special to me, but I'm curious about what a normal male would make a good pair with?

My girls right now are a breeding sized normal, a yearling het albino, a yearling cinnamon, and a baby mojave poss het hypo. My boys are a cinnapin and a lesser bee. My plans for future snakes (hopefully at the NARBC in February! fingers crossed) include an albino male, pastel albino if I can find one, and possibly a bumblebee girl. Where would a normal male or two fit into this mix?

I would not breed a normal to anything, I would just keep it as a pet.

You always want your male to be genetically superior to your females.

If you have normal females and single gene females you want your male to be at the very least a single gene male, double even better etc.

Basically you want the most gene you can afford in a breeding male.

The only thing a 1.0 Normal would be good for is to prove out some dinker project to see what you get from the pairing.

Other than that, consider it just a pet :gj:

^^^ Agree with the others. Remember, just because you have a ball python doesnt automatically mean you need to breed him. Keep the normal males as pets!
