Atticus is so confused... thank goodness he leads a sheltered life
Atticus refused to unwrap himself from his branch today, so I just gave up and fed him in his tank. I'm sure his mouse had gone a little cool by the time I admitted defeat, and he struck it from the side... then he tried to eat it from the tail end... and then after he had spit out the tail a couple times, he started searching for the nose end in a puzzled yet diligent way. I attempted to help a couple times by repositioning the mouse, but he was NOT having it. He just curled up tighter to keep it from me. Once he finally succeeded, it was with flying colors, as if it was all part of the master plan. Does anyone else have pics of awkward feeding experiences?

Very nice snake and pics. I don't have pics but my bull snake has eaten from her branch a couple of times. It's wild to watch them eat a whole rat from a suspended position, especially since they're supposed to be terrestrial snakes.

    Sauzo
My red tail boa loves to eat her medium rats like that. I open the cage door, hang the rat in the doorway with my hand above the door frame and she grabs the rat and then lets it hang out of the cage and half her body hanging out the cage too like the last pic of your BP. After she is done, she slithers back in and goes to her hide and curls up lol. She is most laidback lap snake I have ever seen.

    Awkward but effective.
