    IBD sign?
hi all I'm a little worried at the momement. I have a vet visit set up for Sunday. I am wondering though, when I am handling my BP or when she lifts her head straight up she kinda has some shaking going on. Like if she fully extends her neck it shakes side to side. Is that normal?

That's not a sign of IBD. My snakes do the same thing if they are stretching themselves up really far. You might be talking about a periscope. Look up some vids on YouTube of a snake with IBD. They usually corkscrew like crazy and "stargaze". Is your snake still eating normally? Is the shaking the only thing that is worrying you? Is the snake acting normally besides the shaking? Sorry for all the questions, just want a little more insight :)

I don't know what stargazing is. Basically she only does it if she's outstretched far or completely verticle. That really all I've noticed. She hasn't ever refused a meal for me. And she is on a 5-6 day feeding schedule. She last ate a day ago. I've seen those videos on YouTube I was just concerned this was an early sign or something like that. One concern though is she has 4 jumbo mice in her and she hasn't deficated in 4 feedings I read that could be a sign too that they get backed up or something

Sounds to me your snake is doing just fine :) as long as she's eating and acting normally she is A-okay. And don't worry about the lack of poop. Sometimes snakes will hold their poop for a while, she will leave a big ole' stinky present for you soon enough.

Oh and stargazing is just when they stare straight up for a long time like they are gazing at the stars. But yeah lack of poo is definitely not a sign of IBD. If it were almost everyone's snake would have it lol.

Mine does that all the time. He's perfectly healthy. He likes to stretch out. How large is her enclosure?
