How many mice should I feed my mouser ?
My 2000 gram adult female will eat mice like candy and from time to time take a rat, my plan is to feed her mice every 5-7 days and throw a rat in about once every 4-6 weeks. Based on this schedule about how many adult mice should I feed her per sitting ? Roughly 25-40gram mice.

My females in that size range take one medium rat each week (90-179 grams). You can do the math and divide out an approximately equivalent amount of mice for your girl.

I'm not wondering about gram weight of her meals, I'm wondering how many prey items I can safely give her without her regurging.

I think I remember reading they can take 1 mouse per foot length of the snake

Before I got her to switch Prec who was 350g at the time was eating 2 large a week. This seemed enough and she gained steadily, although once she accepted weanling rats her growth really took off.

    You're asking two different things.

    "How many prey items:"
    • 179 / 40 = 4.475 (4x 40g mice)
    • 179 / 25 = 7.16 (7x 25g mice)
    • 90 / 40 = 2.25 (2x 40g mice)
    • 90 / 25 = 3.6 (3x 25g mice)
    • Average = 4.1 (4x 25-40g mice)

"...I can safely give her without her regurging.":
    • Is largely dependent on the specific animal and other external factors.

You didn't say anything about regurgitation in your first post. That's why I gave you the advice that I did.

I have a girl who will take 3-5 asf's dependant on how big they are, and those run larger than mice. Had one a long time ago that would down 5 mice at a time given the chance. So all I can say is if all housing conditions are ok, keep offering untill it refuses.

I have a male 1500g pastel that would only eat mice up until a couple months ago.
His best was 11 mice but usually he would pop 5 or 6 a week when I had that many.
Now he does 2 small rats a week.
