    Help! What is this!?
    http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...ge1_131348.jpg

My snake has ate 3 times with me fine and defecated three times as well. I fed him 4 days ago for the fourth time and discovered this yesterday? Browsing the forums on here it is either vomit not a regurge or half digested feces possibly?? The only thing I did different was feeding him every 5 days from 7 since he is pretty tiny. What do you all think? Should I wait two weeks to feed again to avoid this? Temps are spot on 83 cool 92 hot side 60% humidity and everything controlled by a thermostat and a Accurite Thermo/Hydro. I have no clue why he would vomit I never messed with hi after eating I usually wait 3 days or more. :confusd::confusd::confusd:

Edit: He had a good size but thin piece of cypress on the side of his mouth I tried getting off with the tongs and he ended up rubbing it into his mouth and I saw him yawn and swallow it way after he was done eating and go down the back of his mouth. Maybe it was in his throat bothering him and he was stressed and vomited? Thats all I can think of.

Maybe the size was too big for him. How much does he weigh? It looks like a regurge

Probably 65-75 grams. He was 60 about four feeds ago. He gained some weight since then it looks like. Ive been feeding him a small mouse/weanling the next size up from hoppers. This mouse was a little bigger then usual but I usually don't worry about prey size TOO much like I do with boas, Ive never had a BP refuse too big of prey. He did a massive poo next to that regurge with some urates as well. Ive never had a snake vomit besides a boa once who ate too big of a mouse so this is new to me. I will have to feed smaller prey items I guess? :confusd:

It looks like a regurg to me too. It should have smelled terrible.

Was this a f/t? How did you thaw it and warm it?

After a regurg you need to give the snake time to build the stomach fluids back up. Give it two weeks before trying to feed again. During this time make sure all your numbers are correct and that the hotspot has not dropped or had something happen to make it not work correctly.

If may be helpful to run us through the type of cage your using with how and with what you are heating with.

I really doubt this was caused by the piece of substrate.

I have a 10 gallon tank with the screen top covered mostly with glass to keep heat and humidity in and I'm using a Reptile Basics heat pad on a hydro farm thermostat with a 50 watt red bulb for the ambient. It did not smell really all I smelled was his feces. When I had a boa long ago his regurge smelled up the whole area around his enclosure and it was awful. I fed F/t heated in hot water for about a hour. Now that I think of it the mouse smelt kind of funky and was a frozen mouse from Petco. Add soon as I cut open the bag I got a wiff of something stronger then usual. Weird because I bought the past two mice the same day as this one
