    Another massive weight gain question.
We got a proven breeder recently and weighed her on 11/15 which she weighed 2025g. She has been aggressively feeding, I mean constantly hungry, on 2 just weaned rats weekly.
I just weighed her today and she weighs 2580g! Per the breeder I got her from he did bot pair her last year but did the year before. She has paired with my calico once.....is 500g in a month normal? She doesn't look fat, just really huge

Maybe bump up the prey item to a small or medium size rat. At 2000g I think she needs bigger prey because my dads corn snake has a rat pup once a week and slams it and hes no where near 2000g.

Any ideas? Just looking to see if this is normal? She looks massive.

She actually is looking like shes on the chunky side. See those large winkles where she bends (compared with the older picture of her), she has a definite increase in her fat deposits.

It is not untypical. Females going into breeding mode will consume pretty much anything. She will lose 200-300g by her next shed when she has a doberman sized poop. Pretty much I have found weight retention of 50-60% of their meals is about average.

I forgot to add, she is in shed. She does look chunky......but a she wants to do is eat and will strike at me if she is hungry.

is this weight gain before or after defecation? She will lose a lot of that weight. Have you tracked her defecations? has she defecated at all in the last month? I suspect she's eaten 100g of food for 5 weeks and not defecated in that time.

She has not had a large poop in about 3 weeks. She has gained all of the weight in the past month. She eats probably 100 g a week. She is ravenous and will eat everything I give her
