    Freaking out, please help?!
About a month ago, my ball got stuck in a key ring. He had gotten only his head through, but when we went to grab him to stop him, he lurched forward quickly and got stuck. When we finally got it off (an hour and a half later), he had severely crushed scales. We brought him to our local reptile shop, and they said it should go away with next shed. I was prepared for it to take a few sheds, but in no way was I expecting this! I don't know what to do. There was bleeding when I first took him out of his humid box, but that has stopped. Please, if you can help, I'm at a loss :*(

Do not use aloe and honey...It will heal within a few sheds just give it time. Sometimes a little bleeding is not at all unusual during a shed, especially if there is an injury such as this. It will take time but it will heal :)

I haven't had any of mine pop off scales like this, but I have had several that have popped off scales on there head while trying to shed. It takes a few sheds but they always look normal again.

The area looks clean so I wouldn't worry about any ointments, etc at this point.

Ok, thank you! That makes me feel a lot better. I was worried he was permanently injured.

It looks fine - it may always be white there though, but no big deal.
