    First shed! What an oddball!
My Ball that I got just over a month ago went blue last week. I popped the tank open and took him out, and wondered why is he hiding so much? Took a closer look, and well, would you look at those eyes! So, I'd been minimally handling and bumping the humidity. Sunday when I came home I peeked in and his eyes had cleared. So when there was no shed by yesterday, I opted to peek under his hide - and saw a wadded up ball of shed. He'd shed IN his hide, he didn't come out to do it, so it was all accodioned in on itself. I pulled it open - it must have been recent, the shed wasn't all dry yet, it was still elastic. I assume it must have been a challenge to shed inside the hide. I'd guess it's because my heat in the house has been really wacky lately and sometimes the tank drops a bit (It's being addressed) and maybe it was chilly in there (It's dropped to 75ish). I'm going to have to get an automatic mister or something, because doing it with the spray bottle isn't going to cut it again! PITA!

Regardless, I was very pleased with the one piece shed! As far as I can tell no eyecaps stuck or anything. Considering when I bought him he had little flakes of shed stuck on him from last time, I'm very pleased with this!

Good to know! I'd never heard of it happening, so I assumed it was a strange behavior.

I was surprised also (first bp owner).... I recorded his most recent shed from start to finish and it was all done inside his cramped up hide lol it was amazing! :gj:

Mine recently shed in her humidity hide box. Pretty funny. I was the same way - thinking "how did you do that!?"

Mine almost always shed in their hides too. On occasion I've seen them shed in the hide then push it towards the entrance hole making it easy for me to see they were done.

What do you mean "process?" Like, ffrom the time they go blue to the time they shed? Or just the shedding itself?
