Snot bubble a sign of RI?
First of all, I AM calling the vet in the morning, I'd just like some input in the mean time.
The situation; i'm paranoid. Since Santiago (boa) died on Sun, I've been hyper-vigilant with my other snakes. Checking temps, water, substrate, anywho, I just checked on them and discovered Livia.2 (het caramel Albino) had shed. One nice piece, then she proceeded to poop all over it eeeew.
So I went ahead, wiped her down with a damp paper towel, cleaned her tub while daughter held her and got a fresh paper towel to lay down. Daughter started to laugh (13) and said Livia.2 was blowing a snot bubble. I looked and sure enough was a snot bubble that would make any toddler proud.
I took her and listened for wheezing, but didn't hear any though daughter (who got serious when I explained to her about a possible RI) said she thought she heard clicking sounds.
I've never heard pf a snake blowing a snot bubble which is why I'm suspicious there's an RI. Is there anything I should do to make her more comfy while we wait to call the vet? Or am I overreacting?

Nope. With the exception of that one bubble, I haven't seen her displaying that sort of behavior. But I'll be watching her closely today because I may have missed seeing it.

Those are obvious signs. As for helping till you get to the vet, you can raise the temp a few degrees to create a "fever" which helps reptiles own immune system fight the bacteria/virus. Also lowering the humidity helps too.
Ok. Good to know.

Usually RI is caused by husbandry issues which lowers the animals own immune system so I would start by rechecking everything and be sure to use something like Chlorhexadine/Novalson or antibacterial soap between each animal so you don't spread it.
Gotcha. Thank you. I appreciate it.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...f83de547b8.jpg here's a pic of her, in her just shed glory.
I checked on her just now. She was all curled up, nose under coils.
Re: Snot bubble a sign of RI?
I havent seen/heard anything else that makes me think she's sick. We had a non-snake issue rear it's head yesterday(kid/school/teen headeskery moments) and I didn't get a chance to call the vet. :/
As she's in a rack setup, i'm a touch baffled at how to lower the humidity. Temps, no prob, bumped it up. Humidity however, well i was going to see about switching to aspen not ppr towels and see if that changes anything.
