    When i first read this title i thought ... mid-sized burm? I'dve never thought of them as people food .. but if it floats your boat go for it. I'll never eat one tho ;)

    I'll stick w/poultry, pigs, cows, & fish thank you (that pretty much covers what we consider edible meat in this country I suppose--nothing gross though like feet, guts, organs, etc. BLECH!)...but, there are countries that consider dogs people food too....it's a cultural thing I guess.

    i think its more a necessity thing that gets labeled as "cultural"
    i'm sure if american society was like peru, with the abundance of guinea pigs....we'd eat em

    i think that, in general, american society has a problem with eating anything labeled as being cute. and i can't imagine there is that much quality meat on a guinea pig anyhow.
