    Red Tiger jaguar?
I bought a baby red tiger jag at a reptile show yesterday. I've heard of tigers and jag's but never red tiger jag. Is anyone familiar with this morph? I spent a couple of hours post purchase searching google and Google images but can find nothing. As soon as I got home from the show I put him in his tub so have no pics (yet). He seems very tractable and not nippy at all. Thanks for your input this is my first carpet.
p.s. I emailed the breeder and asked him but have not heard back yet.

    Cute pick-up!

Of course see what the breeder says, but my first thought would be to assume your new buddy is supposed to be a red phase coastal tiger jag. Red coastals are a variant, with babies starting out reddish brown, sometimes very red. They tend to lose the color as they age, but still have a 'look.' It's more common in some populations than others. The trait is polygenetic, and there are certainly folks breeding for it, and for it to last longer into adulthood.
