    Trouble Popping
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i'm having an issue.

I've had probably around 10 snakes over the last 10-12 years, I've heard of popping for years, watched many videos, even seen people do it in person. I understand the concept, but I just can't do it, still!

Am I not pressing in hard enough or what? Any tips guys? I really think this is a valuable skill to have especially since I plan on breeding next year. I feel like probing could be more dangerous so I don't really want to have to do that.

I do know what i'm doing 99% of the time when it comes to my snakes, i just want to figure this popping thing out properly. Please help.

Based on the people I have taught how to pop the main mistake is not to apply enough pressure, and the positions of your fingers on the tail.

To me the best thing is to have someone show you in person so you can get a feel for it and see how much pressure you really need to use.

Once you get that it's all about practice.

Having someone show u in person is the best way to start. It is also a lot easier to pop hatchlings than adults. When rolling your thumb on the tail part u have to apply pretty good pressure and with your other hand you must squeeze so the sexual organ are blocked so they have nowhere else to go but out. After you get it a couple times you will get better and better like anything else
