    Pastel? Spider? Something Else?
Hello everyone, I just recently got my first ball python (first snake too actually). I purchased the ball from a for sale Facebook group from an individual who was no longer able to care for it. It is just over a year old from what he said, but what I am curious about is what morph it is. I did not get much information out of him, other than that the ball's mother was a bumblebee. He told me that this guy was a Pastel (at the time I had no clue what that meant), but the more I have been looking into it, I am thinking he isn't a pastel.

It makes no difference to me, I am just curious if anyone can identify this guys morph(s) for me. Thanks! Pics below...

Yes to all three actually (Pastel? Spider? Something Else?)!

Pastel + Spider = Bumble Bee :gj:

    Nice little snake!

Ah, nice. I had initially thought it may be a Bumblebee, but my guy seemed to have more brown that all the pics of bumblebees that I saw. Spider seemed to be the one that matched the pattern and colors the best from what I could tell.

So are you saying you think he is a Bumblebee? or were you just saying that a P+S is a Bumblebee?

That my dear, is a bumblebee. Spider pattern, pastel color. Pretty little thing. Bumblebees are very yellow as babies, but by the time they reach about a year old, they look just like yours.

Neither. I'm saying that he IS a Bumble Bee.

It does look like a bumblebee to me :) I really like the high white sides and yellow glow to your bumblebee! Reminds me off an actual bumblebee covered in pollen - They still are one of my favourite morphs :D

Here are some progression pictures of my male breeder:

Present Day 1.2kg and just over a year old and his colour is fantastic. He has "speckled" up a bit, but still more yellow than not. Not the best picture, but it will show you how they change colour with age:
