struck a deal!

I've been getting to know a couple who own a new pet store in a nearby town by visiting frequently and talking with the owner about his ideas for the store. I also have one of my 04 redtail boas for sale there. Anyways my wife and her friend on their day off went there...without me mind you...as my wife decided she needed a guinea pig for her sweatest day present! Anyway she couldn't have been there at a better time, the owner was about to post a sign asking for mice breeders. Well I have had more than enough lately and was thinking of cutting back. No need to anymore! I'll be providing the store with mice and possibly rats which is a relief in a couple ways. My hobby/business will nearly be close to the turnaround point of recuping costs...and even making some money. I am pleased and thought I would share 8)

Haha! Cool deal. Not only then can you make back that dinero, you can gain possible inroads into that store.

Hooray! It's always nice to get a monetary return on a hobby.

I'd love to expand my "operations" but I need a bigger house! My one rooms setup is quite full at the moment half by the animals and related equipment and the other half by our computers/home network/web server etc. I need a house with a basement SO bad! :mrgreen: Oh well someday...I've got some ideas though, just have to get to work on them.

Cool! You will see that befriending a pet store owner(s) is the best thing ever. My friend lets me pay her in installments for things from her shop, and since I always pay her on time we have an awesome rapport. I too will be giving her my first litter of breeder mice once my female pops (any day now!) and I have already traded some of the rats I bred for crickets for my beardie; and she can order me anything i want at dealer cost! Not a bad friendship!

I don't know as I've gotten that friendly with the owner yet...but i'll work on it! His prices on the animals he sells kinda freaks me out but I guess I just need to remembering how much pet stores grosely mark up the animals... The guy seems to have good intentions and he was honest with me about some things we talked about including and alligator he has. My wife said he has already started improvements on a new enclosure for the huge burmese! I hope I can help keep him in business and get my hands more into it so it turns out to be a one of a kind shop.
