Ball Python still seems hungry??

I fed my BP last night at 8, and after he kept searching around and moving around for about 15 minutes. This morning I went to change the water and now he's all over the place in his "S" shape flicking his tongue actively. Should I feed him again now? or should I just wait until Friday when I planned to feed him next. I don't want to under feed him, but I also don't want to over feed him!

Is he new? My little 6 week old girl ate 1 fuzzy mouse sunday and 2 yesterday but I got her black Friday and I want to try and fatten her up a little as she is on the thin side and didn't want to eat in the pet shop. I would say if it a new animal and it wants to eat, let it eat till you fatten it up a little and get it healthy, then after a month, I would put it on a regular feeding schedule like one appropriate sized feeder every 3-5 days if its a baby, 7 days if its a juvenile or 7-10 days if its an adult. My red tail boa destroys her cage when she is hungry and this little BP does the same. After 3 fuzzies, she is nice and quiet in her hide. Just my 0.02.

A fuzzy mouse for a BP is way small.

I would say a regular feeding schedule right away is important. Otherwise you face a lot of general confusion and wasted food items (are you sure he's hungry? Sometimes they just like to explore, and pitching a mouse/rat to find that out is fairly unpleasant). I would also like to point out that snakes are generally opportunistic feeders, and just because they will eat when offered food does not mean they are as hungry as you think. Feed appropriate sized prey items (how big is your python? How big is the food you're offering?) at a proper pace (3-5 days for hatchlings, 5-7 for juveniles, 7-10 for adults).

Well for me, I had just gotten her black Friday and was told she was a problem feeder so I started on fuzzies as I wanted something small to not scare her which worked as she ate it right away. I will be putting on rat pups hopefully so I can just get rats as that's what my red tail boa eats although on a much larger scale as she is 6ft long. The little high white pied girl BP is only about 14-15 inches and probably 3/4 inch thick and I was told she was 6 weeks old so I don't want to feed her something too big. The little fuzzies I fed her were about 1.5 inches, opened eyes and walking around. Probably just before hopper stage. Anyways sorry to hijack the thread :)

Funny I got mine on black friday as well. I haven't weighed him yet, but he is a hatchling. I gave him a F/T mouse hopper and he took it immediately. I was very relieved that he ate the first time I've offered him food after reading how finicky they are with eating.
