After several months of research and forum-lurking (and saving up money), I finally got my first ball 2 weeks ago. Had to wait because he was in shed when I got him, plus the usual acclimation period. He (or she, I've yet to try my hand at popping, but the seller said it's a boy) is a 3-month old normal, and I've named him Jormungand because I'm a sucker for Norse mythology and all.
He's still a bit fidgety, but I handle him late at night so the other animals at home/family members/he won't get freaked out as much. He's getting less head shy as well, and he's not striking as much as when I got him. (Fun fact: he tagged me on the first time I tried to pick him up lol)
Here are some pictures:

In some of the pictures, you can see one of my dogs in the background-- they're all cool with having Wormy in the house.
Observing him a while ago, and basing on the standards that I've seen on here, he's a bit underweight, but he's got no problems feeding at all; he downed two hoppers easily last Wednesday (10 days since he last ate) as scheduled by his seller, but I'm going to move his feeding schedule up to two hoppers every 6 days until adult mice become available to me. I haven't checked his weight yet, but I'm getting a weighing scale for him this week since the one I have is used for my hedgehogs. :D
