Silencing of the crickets?
Does anyone know a good way to keep crickets silent at night? or am I just screwed to listen to them?

This. MUCH more pleasant than crickets. A lot of people can't get past the 'cockroach' part, but remember that they are tropical. The need higher heat, (I keep mine on top of my snake racks near the ceiling which stays somewhere in the mid 80's) they won't reproduce or even live long in your house if they should escape which is very rare since they don't climb.
If you absolutely need crickets, you can always buy half grown crickets. The males only chirp in their last instar.
