Is my girl on the small end?
A week ago today I brought home my little super blast girl. She art great for me on Tuesday and has had 2 good BMs since she's been here so she seems to be settling in well.

Last night I weighed her and the scale read 64g. The breeder I got her from said she was hatched the first of September, making her just over 2 months old. My male was about 80 grams when I got him at just over a month old.

Is 64g on the small end for a two month old? Should I worry about her catching up or just keep her on a steady regiment each week?

If you're feeding her once/week, you could step that up to an appropriately sized meal twice/week (or every 4 days). At her age, she's growing quickly and shouldn't have any issues at all eating at that rate.

As far as her specific weight goes, they are born at a decent range of sizes, and 64 grams is in the range of normal depending on her birth weight. Seeing 100 grams of weight gain per month is pretty common though if they're fed at the rate I recommended above. Crank it up and you'll be surprised at how quickly she grow up! :)

Enjoy them when they are small. They are so feisty and with great characters. I think my smallest baby I got was 42 grams. And the smallest baby I have now is 36 grams out of the egg. But that's because the little girl didn't absorb her yolk. She a beauty By the way

She is most definitely feisty! My male was much more laid back and always exploring. He was so slow moving even as a little noodle. This girl is total opposite though! I didn't realize they could be so quick. She really jumpy too and quick to coil back at the sign of any movement haha. Hopefully she'll grow out of that a bit.

From my experience, they all grow at their own rate... I've had one that took off and was huge.. And I have one now that it just under 400 grams and a year old. She eats like an animal and is healthy, just grows slower.

So adorable. I have a wee albino girl. When she got home I weighed her and I'm sure the scales were wrong but they said 12g!! She has eaten every 4 days either hoppy mice or fuzzy rat. I weighed her Friday and she was 81 grams. She is very calm but is getting stronger and more curious every day.

I wish I could say the same for my little girl. She's growing (slowly but surely) but wow, she is a pistol. She strikes at anything that moves every time I get her out. I think she's definitely going to be the first one to tag me lol.
