Feeder size for 5 month old / ~300 g bp
My BP Tillie recently shed and had a bit of a growth spurt. I haven't weighed her in a while, but I'm guessing she's around 300 g. She had been eating 2 rat pups per meal, but that looks way too small for her now - the lump in her belly is barely visible. The pet store I use suggested I feed her a small rat instead, so I bought some. The small rat looks about the same as the biggest part of her body, but is way longer than what I had been feeding before. I don't want to make her regurgitate ...or explode.. Thoughts?

Length really isn't as important as girth. As long as they look alright width-wise (and it sounds like the do), they'll be fine. For what it's worth, my bp is also just under 300g and she's getting small (40g-ish) rat pups as well.

If she's eating 2 rat pups the next size up should be weaned rats. Smalls rats are usually fed to snakes at around 500g+ depending on their body condition. Here's a nice little size chart for mice and rats that may make the sizes a bit clearer.
