Super pastel lesser or lesser pastel?
So I picked up this little guy, the owner said he was a lesser pastel but from the pictures I'm finding he's extremely light. Is this just because he's still young (about 600g) or is he maybe a super pastel lesser? He looks more like the pictures for that. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...e1ee8d2bab.jpg
Re: Super pastel lesser or lesser pastel?
The head is the easiest way to tell. Supers normally have an almost white area on the top of her head. Pastels have a lot of blushing, but normally not completely white. Single gene lessers have a brown head. These guys are hatchlings but you can see the difference. Left to right Super Pastel Lesser, Lesser, Pastel Lesser.

Re: Super pastel lesser or lesser pastel?
I agree with everyone else that it's a Lesser Pastel. If it's any help, Lesser/Butter Pastels only get lighter and brighter with age. So while he's young (600g is a good size!), expect him to fade even brighter as time goes on. Here's a good comparison of a baby and adult Butter Pastel for reference:

Re: Super pastel lesser or lesser pastel?
Ok. I wasn't sure what the tell was between the two. I always thought that it would be like a pastel and get kind of darker with age. I've just got a really bright guy then. Lesser pastels have really wonky patterns. Thanks for the help
