I first got into Ball Pythons in 2007 to try and make an Albino Pied. I purchased a young Albino female that wouldn't eat and after 8 months traded her back to the breeder for a Spider and Pastel female. It took me till 2011 to get an Albino female up to size. My Pied male who had been a great breeder had no interest in either of my Albino girls. Not wanting to miss, I used his son a Spider Het Pied and bred him to an Albino and a Black Pastel Albino. I kept back all of the female offspring who were 100% Het Albino but only 50% Het Pied. I also kept back one male, a Black Pastel who had a nice dorsal stripe. I felt like he was Het Pied. This year was the first year that the females were up to size and I bred them to that Black Pastel Male that I had kept back. I had 5 clutches laid. The first clutch of 5 eggs hatched and only one visual animal, this Black Pastel Albino Pied. I was thrilled because after 4 dark heads popped out of the first eggs , I was thinking oh no, that male may not be Het Pied. Second clutch hatches, another Black Pastel Pied. I was thrilled, lots of waiting, patience and hard work and some luck went into making this boy. Here he is. Thanks for reading this long winded post.
